Garfield Dunlop, MPP (Simcoe-North), drove home some good news while announcing two local OTF grants. A working collaborative called Transportation Linking Communities North Simcoe received $160,000 to address transportation issues in that community through the creation of a volunteer transportation system. It will provide transportation alternatives to access employment-related, medical and other health services. The Royal Canadian Legion Bay Port Branch 545 will use a $63,000 OTF grant to renovate its facilities in Port McNicoll so that it will serve as a safer, healthier and more attractive meeting space for local community groups and families.
