Waterloo, Wellington, Dufferin - February 11

Ted Arnott, MPP (Waterloo-Wellington), joined GRT member Jamie Couper and a host of dignitaries at a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Palmerston Public Library. Increasing accessibility to the library system has been an ongoing priority for the Wellington County Library Board. OTF provided a $15,000 grant toward the purchase and installation of a wheelchair lift to ensure that library patrons who use scooters or wheelchairs can access the library. The new elevator will also allow high school students with limited mobility who are enrolled in a life skills program to visit and sign out resource materials.
